By the Grace of Allah, the National Waqf-e-Nau Department USA, in collaboration with Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya USA, successfully organized the Jamia Inspiration Camp and Virtual Open House on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm Eastern via Zoom. The primary objective of this virtual program was to inspire Ahmadi youth to consider attending Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada and become dedicated Life Devotee Murabbis. The program was thoughtfully designed to impart understanding and appreciation of the importance and blessings associated with a life devoted to serving Allah.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Mabroor Ahmad Sahib, a Jamia Canada applicant from New York Jama’at, followed by an introduction to the program by Mirza Harris Ahmad, National Secretary Waqf-e-Nau USA.

Maulana Shamshad Ahmad Nasir Sahib, a special guest speaker, eloquently addressed the essence of being a Waqf-e-Zindagi and the pivotal role of a Murabbi. Shamshad Sahib shared numerous personal stories in both Urdu and English, inspiring parents and boys to recognize the importance of good parenting, of building a strong relationship with Allah and spreading the message of Islam. He emphasized the significant role parents play, drawing on his personal experiences and observation of devotion and sacrifices demonstrated by the parents in the Jama’at.

This was succeeded by a panel discussion among six Jamia students facilitated by Ata-ul-Aleem Choudhary Sahib. The topics included what inspired them to join Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada, insights into student life at Jamia, and the evolution of their relationship with khilafat throughout their years in Jamia.

Murabbi Danial Mahmood Sahib of Al Islam Team, a recent graduate of Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada, provided a comprehensive overview of the curriculum, programs, thesis, and other academic aspects of studying at Jamia.

Murabbi Hashim Usmam Sahib then shared the admission process and deadlines with parents and attendees.

Following this, a session was held with two current Jamia students and their fathers. They spoke candidly about the crucial role parents play in preparing their children for Jamia and supporting them during their studies. The session explored what led to the students making a decision to go to Jamia, what role  their parents played in this process, and what support is given by the parents as their children study at Jamia. Fouzan Pal Sahib & Son Raiyan Pal Sahib, along with Usman Choudhary Sahib & Son Umer Choudhary Sahib, participated in this session facilitated by Hammad Malik Sahib.

Mirza Harris Ahmad, the National Secretary of Waqf-e-Nau Department USA, elaborated on what is next for parents & boys and discussed the expectations of Huzur-e-Anwar (aba).

Finally, Maulana Azhar Haneef Sahib, Naib Ameer and Missionary Incharge USA Jama’at, delivered an inspiring address emphasizing the need for conviction, resolve, and sacrifice in serving Jama’at. He shared his personal experience of attending Jamia Ahmadiyya Rabwah where he studied along with many others like himself who had traveled from all over the world to the small town of Rabwah to attend Jamia and serve their faith. Maulana Azhar Haneef Sahib closed the program with silent prayers.

Approximately 250 members of the USA Jama’at attended the program.

Overall, the Jamia Inspiration Camp and Virtual Open House provided valuable insights into the life of a Jamia student and a Murabbi, showcasing the opportunities available to youth interested in attending Jamia Ahmadiyya Canada. This informative program offered a unique opportunity for parents and students to learn about various aspects of the Jamia Ahmadiyya journey, including the application process, academics, extracurricular activities, and the lived experience of current Jamia students while serving in the field as Murabbi-e-Silsila.

We hope and pray that Allah brings about a positive change in our youth, helping them understand the true purpose of their lives. May such events inspire our youth to dedicate their lives by becoming Murabi-e-Silsila of Jama’at. Ameen!
